Anorexia Nervosa
アノレクシア・ネルヴォサ
アノレクシア・ナーボサ
CD 3-disc set
4th Japanese CD with bonus track X Japan cover, rare
A set of three albums from the French symphonic melodic black metal band, including their acclaimed 2nd to 4th albums.
● 2nd Import Album: "Drudenhaus"
● 3rd Import Album: "New Obscurantis Order"
● 4th Japanese Album: "New Obscurantis Order" (Japanese version only includes an X Japan cover as a bonus track)
Anorexia Nervosa, praised by enthusiasts, embodied high-quality symphonic black metal from France, a country once considered barren for rock music before the 90s.
In addition to their high-quality sound, their aesthetic, which resembled Japanese visual-kei makeup, drew attention in the black metal scene, where zombie-like corpse paint was the norm. Their domestic debut, which included a cover of X Japan's "I'll Kill You," shocked not only the black metal scene but also beyond, making them a legend of symphonic black metal.
Even after more than 20 years since their original release, the completed form of their sound, featuring Vo. R. Maare's high-pitched growl shouts, melodic tremolo guitar riffs, blast drums reminiscent of the Blizzard style, and symphonic orchestration, remains a timeless masterpiece.
The 2nd and 3rd albums are import versions with obi (Japanese-style band) from Disk Union, so they are essentially import versions only.
The 4th Japanese debut album includes the obi, a translated liner notes, a mini-poster, and a campaign postcard, all complete.
All discs have minor scratches, but no major damage, and would be graded as B by strict evaluators like Disk Union.
Thank you.
