This exceptional antique oyster plate was produced by Union Porcelain Works, Greenpoint, New York, circa 1880, showcasing a richly modeled marine design in soft sage green, blush pink, warm ivory, and delicate gilt highlights.
The sculptural wells are framed by flowing seaweed forms, shells, and crustacean motifs, all hand-painted with subtle tonal shading and depth.
The palette is notably softer and more organic than other examples in the series, giving this piece a refined, painterly presence.
Each oyster well is individually shaped, reflecting the craftsmanship of late 19th-century American porcelain artistry.
An exceptional display piece for collectors of American majolica, oyster ware, or fine decorative ceramics.
