This beautiful bag is by award winning designer Carol Hearty. Hand crafted in quality genuine leather. Black with dark red. It measures 9 1/2" L X 2 3/4" W X 8 1/2" H. The ball feet are leather covered and match the tassel trim. The swirl design on front of the bag looks like a Nautilus shell. The interior has 1 zip pocket. Double zip closure. 22" strap drop. The lining is clean and like new. The exterior has minimal wear with just a few light scuffs. It has D rings on the sides, probably for a different strap. I contacted Ms Hearty and ask for any info she could give and here's her reply: That is a nice condition example of an Escargot bag from the early 2000's. I sold them at Philadelphia Museum craft show, Smithsonian craft show and other high end shows. Back then they went for around $250-295. I made a couple dozen in total probably.
All leather, the feet are leather over wood.
So this example of her work is a limited edition I ship same or next business day.
