In the early 1800’s, the Admiral Gardner set sail through the English Channel, headed for India. A sudden and violent storm hit the Channel just off Dover. Captain Eastfield tried desperately to ride out the storm, but the ship succumbed to the wind and ocean. The shipwreck carried a precious cargo of copper coins & claimed 4 lives.
