A photobook by Taiji Mastue. It features photographs taken from 1990 to 2000, capturing undeveloped lands such as plains, deserts, and wildernesses around the world. It includes 88 monochrome plates. The text is by Aki Kusumoto (semiotics).
**PROFILE**
Born in Tokyo in 1963. Graduated from the Department of Geography, Faculty of Science, University of Tokyo. He won the 12th Higashikawa Award for New Photographers in 1996 and the 27th Kimura Ihei Photography Award in 2002. His major photobooks include "LIM" (Seigensha, 2015), "jp0205" (Seigensha, 2013), "cell" (Akakaisha, 2008), and others. In February 2017, he published "Hashima," a photobook capturing the ruins of Hashima Island, also known as Gunkanjima.
