This authentic late 60s/early 1970s gown is a heavy, substantial piece of history. It weighs nearly 3 lbs! It is being sold AS-IS due to stains, but the structure and embellishments are incredible.
The Good:
The Beading: Stunning, heavy lattice work with faux pearls, silver bugle beads, and sequins on the neckline, bodice, and cuffs. The beadwork is strong and intact!
The Structure: Heavy, thick vintage polyester (mint green) with a cotton lining. Metal back zipper works.
Vintage Details: Still has the original paper-covered "Des-L-Stik-Aid" adhesive strips inside the plunging neckline!
The Bad (Condition):
Stains: Multiple "mystery stains" on the back skirt, back of elbows, and scattered spots. Ink-like mark on the shoulder.
Dirt: Surface dirt on the hem and cuffs.
Status: Unlaundered. Sold as a project for cleaning, dyeing, or harvesting the beautiful beads.
