BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE SCULPTURE from the Austin Sculpture Collection titled "WOMAN WITH FAWN" (also known as Woman with Deer), designed by French artist MARC LA POINTE (native of Paris, graduate of Academie de Beaux Arts). This is the desirable AP 3162 piece from 1981 (or early 1980s production), featuring a graceful kneeling woman gently holding and nurturing a young fawn – a touching and elegant nature-inspired design!
Made in Mexico (as shown on the original label), this large impressive sculpture stands approximately 16 inches tall (from base to top of head) and about 15-16 inches long, with substantial weight and presence (heavy cast material, likely Durastone/resin composite with alabaster-like finish).
